Green entrepreneurship is something we fully support. We actively seek solutions to minimize our ecological footprint. Our goal is to integrate sustainability into all our activities and make a positive impact on the environment. Below, we highlight some of our sustainable initiatives.
APPLICATIONS FOCUSED ON SUSTAINABLE LIVING
From families with young children to single seniors, an automated home offers benefits for everyone. With applications like smart thermostats and dimmable lighting, we aim to make as many homes as possible more sustainable. A Qbus installation helps you save energy. For example, our smart switches come with a built-in temperature sensor, doubling as a local thermostat. This allows for room-by-room heating, saving up to 19% on heating costs while providing added comfort.
We place a strong emphasis on compatibility. While we continuously innovate, we ensure that our new modules and products remain compatible with all existing installations. This means there's no need to replace your hardware during upgrades. Additionally, software updates are performed automatically and remotely. This way, we stay future-proof—now and in the future.
A SMART OFFICE
With our smart solutions, we enhance the energy efficiency of homes and buildings. That's why we consciously manage energy in our own facilities as well. Our office in Erpe-Mere is equipped with a Qbus Full system combined with the intelligent energy manager Luqas. Additionally, our parking lot features six charging stations for our hybrid vehicle fleet.
We prioritize green energy wherever possible. The 33 kilowatts of solar panels on our roof literally power Qbus. Our data shows that we inject more energy into the grid than we consume, with 80% of our energy coming from our own solar panels.
An additional battery allows us to store the energy we generate. The Luqas module monitors our electricity usage based on dynamic energy prices, while efficiently managing our heat pump and charging stations.
All our office spaces are equipped with sensors that adjust temperature and lighting based on the presence or absence of colleagues. CO2-controlled ventilation optimizes the indoor climate, adapting to CO2 levels in each room. Meanwhile, our meeting room benefits from passive cooling. Together, these measures ensure a healthy and energy-efficient working environment.
CLIMATE NEUTRALITY THROUGH INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY
The transition to a more sustainable economy requires not only a strong focus on rational energy consumption and efficiency but also investments in new technologies. That’s why we developed an integration with Powernaut to smartly manage our office and several homes based on grid imbalances and energy availability.
Building flexibility into our grids is crucial to reducing imbalance costs. This intelligent management also helps prevent congestion issues on distribution networks. Delivering green energy more efficiently to all homes – that’s another step toward a sustainable future.
A SHORT, 100% BELGIAN PRODUCTION CHAIN
Our development and production processes take place entirely in Belgium. Prototypes are designed and tested in Erpe-Mere at local CE laboratories. Once perfected, components are manufactured by trusted Belgian partner companies. Final assembly, quality control, and packaging are handled by our in-house production team.
Sustainable use of materials is at the heart of our approach. We design versatile housings that fit multiple products, and our recycled cardboard packaging is sourced from a supplier located just 300 meters from our office. By prioritizing local development and a short supply chain, we reduce our ecological footprint while supporting the local economy. Bulk purchasing and limiting overseas procurement further minimize shipping costs and environmental impact.

An essential part of our sustainability policy is the use of environmentally friendly transport. We encourage our employees to use electric and hybrid vehicles, with charging stations available in our parking lot.
We also promote cycling and carpooling as daily transportation options. By optimizing our logistics processes, we ensure that our products are transported with minimal environmental impact.
Our production team even delivers products to nearby partners on foot using carts. Not only is this eco-friendly, but it also supports healthy living.
